Yal and Horka are fighting tons of students approaching them, protecting Trif who is recovering.

“AH! THEY KEEP COMING! BOSS, WHAT HAPPENED TO YER SPELL?” Yal cried out.

Horka hit a student on the head.

    “I GOT ONE!”

Behind Trif was Oltrin who was shooting students. One managed to pass through him and pushed him out of the way. He headed for Trif and released a spike.

Trif deflected it with a right slash and then punched him in the face.

Oltrin apologized, “I’M SO SORRY SIR!”

    “Don’t think anything of it.”

“What happened back there? I cast my spell explosion, but my magical circle suddenly broke. Does someone have Spell Intercept? But that’s a magic spell too advanced. But because my spell failed, most of the students went after me. Was it… Could it be Hazel? Or was it… No, impossible. I’m pretty sure that no one here is THAT experienced,” he evaluated.

He called out to the three of them, “BOYS!”

    Their attention was caught.

“Why don’t we get this over with and get their swords? After all, they said AT LEAST 2, and that’s including your own sword, which means… we can get more swords and eliminate more people.”

    “That sounds fun…” Oltrin said.

Horka released a chuckle, “As expected.”

“Let’s gather them all. Look…” Yal pointed at the students who are retreating.

“They’re starting to fear us after our display.”

Trif charged at the cowering students without a second thought.

    “Boss?” Oltrin asked.

Trif yelled, “WHO SAID YOU COULD BACK OFF AFTER BRAVELY RUSHING US AND WASTING OUT TIME?! RUN MAGGOTS! AHAHAHAHAHAH!”

    ..

    .

At the same time, Phize is on the ground on his knees.

“Why… why don’t things ever go my way? I work hard for them yet why are they not rewarded? I… I can’t fight in this state. Hazel gave me a hard time. Not only that I’ve probably used up half of mana, can I still even win in this state? Maybe I should just…”

    ..

    .

    I should…

    ..

    .

    “NO!”

“I CAN’T GIVE UP! I’M NOT SO WEAK THAT I’LL JUST GIVE IN RIGHT AWAY! I have to… I have to show that I’m capable of myself…” he surmised.

Once more, the young hero stood up.

    “I can’t fight her… if I do, I’ll immediately lose.”

“I need to find another way to get her,” he presumed.

“She’s probably the only cat girl I’ve seen, so she should be easy to find.”

“Her appearance is very unique so I shouldn’t have a hard time,” he figured.

He tiptoed to see from among the crowd of ongoing fights that Lili is rushing to the collector.

“I’m gonna have to use magic again,” he protested.

    “Can I reach her?”

    “I have no choice.”

He cast a spell against Lili, “BLINDNESS!”

Her vision suddenly fades and she trips cause of it.

    “What? I can’t see.”

She accidentally dropped the swords. She swung her arms everywhere to try and recover them back.

    “AN OPENING!” he cheered.

Phize tailed her through the crowd, avoiding the ongoing brawls.

Thereafter, the voice announced, “FIRST PARTICIPANT OF THE THIRD EVENT, TRIF GUISE! WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, WE KINDLY ASK CONTESTANTS JURA, KALRIN, MATON, AND LASQA, TO RETREAT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!”

“HE GOT 4 PEOPLE?! HE’S MAD!”

He continued to chase after Lili who was still blinded.

    “I’M CLOSE!”

He grabbed the swords and ran towards the collector.

The collector received the swords and evaluated them.

“I did it. I DID IT!” he cheered.

He dropped to his knees in extreme relief.

    “I actually… did it.”

He let out a sigh of relief.

“What is this? Are you trying to deceive the system?” the collector asked angrily.

“Huh? What do you mean sir?”

    “Look closely here.”

The collector showed Phize, the swords in close detail.

“As you can see, none of these swords have names and these are clearly oak. Their quality is not as good as our swords.”

The collector hands back the counterfeit swords and Phize received them.

    “What?”

    ..

    .

“What… What’s the meaning of this?… I swear I saw that she took them. Wait…”

    He turned around.

    He screamed out loud, “LILI!”

Lili ran to the collector to the right of him.

“CRAP! SHE’S SO NEAR!” he thought to his horror.

    “STOP!”

“CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! WHAT DO I DO?! I’M PANICKING! WHAT SHOULD I DO?”

Faster than usual, he cast a spell, “DISINTEGRATING BEAM!”

A large beam transpires from the magic circle near his right hand, it shot headed for Lili. To his dismay, it missed her only by a few inches. The sudden blast made her trip and fall to her knees. She glanced at him.

He was charging toward her at a fast rate.

In a panic, she stood up almost immediately.

“I CAN’T REACH HER IN TIME!”

He held a counterfeit sword firmly in his right hand subsequently throwing it in her direction, it missed again.

    “DAMMIT!”

He grabbed the last sword and threw it toward the collector.

She tossed the wooden swords to the collector.

The collector prepared to receive them.

The sword is thrown rotating up and down and is approaching the swords thrown by Lili but the sword Phize threw was about to intercept hers.

    “NO!”

From the interception of his sword to hers, it scattered all of them.

Lili grabbed one of the swords.

    “FIRE!”

Fire shot from his right hand, boosting him towards the area. Phize pursued the swords and was able to grab three of them.

He continued boosting with his fire magic but trips not too far from capturing the swords, causing him to drop all of them again, though away from Lili. In a rush, he quickly grabbed them. He analyzed the embedded names on the blades of the swords.

    “I got… Lili’s sword, the oak sword, and…”

    “My sword.”

“That means she has Hazel’s sword,” he perceived.

    “Hey,” she interrupted.

    He looked at her.

“It looks like you have something of mine. How about you give me my sword and maybe I’ll let you live,” she proposed.

“You do realize you’re not in the position to say such words, don’t you?”

They stared at each other, they were both panting heavily, both tired from each other’s action.

“Do you really wanna do this? You’re really beat up.”

He focused on the collector opposite of the first collector he approached. She happened to focus on the same person.

He made a run for it but Lili jumps at him and caught his legs. He fell down.

    “LET ME GO!”

She squealed like a little kid, “NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY! I’M NOT GONNA LET YOU WIN!”

He kicked her face and quickly got up.

    “UFU!”

    He ran towards the collector.

    “QUICKLY!” he thought.

He was a few meters away from the nearest collector.

He was overjoyed, “I’M SO CLOSE!”

He prepared to pass his swords on.

She cast a spell in his direction, “SLEEP PARALYSIS!”

    “A CURSE SPELL!”

    He dodged to the right.

    “THAT WAS CLOSE!”

The spell hit the collector and he immediately fell asleep.

    “Hold up…”

    She chuckled.

    “Wait, did you plan this?”

She explained, “You surprised me, but it just happened that the two of you were within the trajectory of my spell.”

    She stood up.

“Besides, there’s no rule about attacking the collectors isn’t there?”

    “You… you’re crazy.”

“Of course, after all, I’m the third-highest ranking student in the whole school. I wouldn’t lose so easily.”

“This is such a troublesome event,” he thought.
