“I’ll keep pushing him, he’s not using any grand magic, he’s probably already on his last legs,” Trif figured.

He charged Phize.

Phize swung his ice sword and Trif backed off.

“I need an opening,” he thought.

Trif swung his sword downward.

Phize dodged to the right and went for a pierce to the stomach.

Trif retracted his sword halfway and changed direction towards Phize with a slash to his right.

“GOTCHA!”

Phize redirected his attack in the opposite direction.

“WE BOTH HAD THE SAME IDEA!” Trif comprehended.

Both of them hit each other with their respective swords.

Phize fells to the ground while still holding the sword and the same went for Trif.

“That’s it. I’ve had it. I’m going berserk,” he thought.

He forcefully stood up with his sword and yelled, “AAAAAAAAH!”

He darted towards Phize.

Phize forcefully stood up to confront him.

He rushed with his sword in front while Phize slashed to the right.

Trif stepped a bit to the left. Using his right hand, he set aside the ice sword.

“TAKE THIS LOW-LIFE!”

He punched Phize in his gut using his left hand.

“GYAH!”

Phize stepped back and used his right hand, which was holding the ice sword to touch his stomach.

I can’t go any further. My mind hurts like crazy just trying to cope with him. I have to escape.

Trif leaped over and released a downward thrust.

Phize blocked with his ice sword.

Clash. Crack.

The ice sword broke upon impact.

He kicked Trif but unfortunately, he blocked it with his sword.

He deflected Phize’s foot causing him to go out of balance.

Trif aimed for Phize’s head.

Phize ducked under the attack.

He chanted, “ICE SHARD!”

An ice shard formed from Phize’s right hand.

Phize releases an uppercut aiming at Trif’s head.

Trif moved his head back only slightly barely reaching him.

The tip of Trif’s nose bled.

Trif released an attack to the left.

Phize blocked but his ice sword cracked.

“My hand’s getting numb…” he thought.

Trif released an immediate uppercut causing Phize’s ice sword to break.

He rushed Phize and prepared for an attack.

Phize aimed his hand toward him.

“ICE SHARD!”

An ice shard forms approaching Trif’s face so he jumped back.

Phize rushed with a slash to the left.

Trif went to the left and immediately released a downward attack toward the ice sword.

Crack.

The ice sword broke on impact.

Trif instantaneously charged toward him.

He chanted, “WIND!”

He launched himself into the air and was heading towards Oltrin and Yal.

He was catching his breath.

“Predictable,” Trif thought.

He yelled towards Yal, “YAL! NOW!”

Yal chanted, “ROCK SPIKE!”

A rock formation formed a spike perpendicular to Yal.

“I’M GONNA HI-” Phize thought.

Phize hit the rock formation with his gut.

He immediately fell to the ground coughing extremely. He was curled and was holding his stomach with his two hands.

“C-Crap…”

He was desperately trying to rise again.

He was breathing quite uneasy.

Trif was running toward him.

“I’M COMING, YOU SCOUNDREL!”

He stood up, although not upright.

He cast a spell, “C-C-CREATE WOOD!”

A wooden sword formed from Phize’s right hand.

“Hm? A wooden sword? That’s odd. Why didn’t he continue to use his ice sword?” he wondered.

Trif stopped dead in his tracks.

“HEY! WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING?” he yelled.

“What should I do? Do they know?” Phize wondered.

“I’m saving up for a big spell. It apparently takes up a lot of mana.”

“Now, now, do you think that little lie is gonna get me? I’ve obviously seen you constantly use huge amounts of magic, that’s why you weren’t using your annoying wind as much weren’t you?”

“Is he really bluffing? Did I underestimate the capacity of his mana? I should be wary either way,” Trif wondered.

“I guess they don’t know…” Phize assumed.

“COME CLOSE TO ME AND YOU’LL FIND OUT!” he boasted aloud.

“…Is that I ran out of mana.”

“Is this bait? Or a facade? Wait… THAT SHOULDN’T MATTER!” Trif thought.

He chuckled.

“Why are you laughing?” Phize asked.

“Nothing really, I guess I just decided to overthink… But… You very well know that I’m gonna get you either way.”

He rushed toward him.

Phize maintained his stance.

Trif looked at Yal. He nodded at him, signaling an order. Yal nodded back.

He cast a spell, “NATURE’S HAZARD!”

Vines came out of the magic circle that was formed and were advancing Phize.

“One in front and one behind. I can’t deal with any of them,” Phize thought.

Trif drew near and the vines were approaching Phize.

Phize rolled to the side but the vines ensnared Trif.

“YOW!” Trif shouted.

Yal apologized, “AH! SORRY BOSS!”

“JUST GET ME DOWN!”

The vines get cut off as the magic circle faded away.

Trif ran toward Phize.

“COME HERE, COWARD!”

Yal cast another spell, “GREAT WIND!”

Phize panted.

Trif and the wind advanced toward him.

“CANCE-”

Trif stepped in the line of the spell.

“WHA-”

Trif got boosted by the spell in the direction he took. He swung his sword to the head but Phize blocked this attack by raising his sword. The force was undeniably great which resulted in Phize getting pushed back to the ground and his sword going out of bounds.

He was wheezing.

“So you guys… adapt,” he coughed, “too…”

“DAMMIT! I HAVE TO GET UP!” he figured.

He tried to move his body but to no avail.

“I-I can’t move anymore… I pushed it to the limit…”

“Well, well, how the tables have turned. At first, I thought whatever happened as to why you suddenly switched, but I think I got it now,” Trif explained as he released a small chuckle.

“Since your ice sword constantly kept breaking, you needed one that didn’t since you were running out of mana. Oops, I spoiled the conclusion, but that’s it isn’t it? You’re out of juice.”

Phize gazed at Trif.

“What are you doing? ISN’T THIS THE PART WHERE YOU STAND UP?!”

He stepped on Phize’s stomach.

“GYAAAH! S-STO-”

He kicked his back.

“GYAAAH!”

“TRASH!”

He kicked him again.

“TALENTLESS!”

He kicked him.

“NOOB!”

He stepped on him.

“LOSER!”

He grabbed his collar and lifted him up.

“What is it with you people? You clearly know who’s stronger and who’s weaker yet you still fight? Not that I detest it, BUT… PUT ON A SHOW OR AT LEAST SOME GENIUS TO YOUR ACTIONS, IDIOT! I just can’t sympathize, I can’t understand people like you.”

He viewed Trif with angry eyes.

“What’s that look for? Don’t you understand the situation you’re in?”

“I-I… I remember Ms. Hasha saying something about spirits…” he recalled.

Trif punched his face.

“Gonna keep looking?”

Phize chuckled.

“S-Spirits… I beg for your… assistance…”

“What’s this? Pleading for mercy perhaps?”

“Shake my foes from the ground… ROCK FORMATION!”

A rectangular rock formation formed and directed at Oltrin.

Trif saw the rock formation.

“OLTRIN! LOOK OUT!” Trif warned.

Oltrin sat and rested near Yal.

The rock formation passed through Yal.

“FUCK! I CAN’T REACH IT IN TIME!” Yal thought.

The rock formation hit Oltrin in the stomach and launched him outside the ring.

The man announced, “OLTRIN UITA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! 1 person remains in Team A, while 2 people remain in Team B.”

Trif looked back at Phize.

“WHY YOU MOTHERFUCKER!”

He continuously punched Phize in the face. But then he came to his senses, “Wait, what am I getting so angry for? I have you in my hands and that means you can’t really do anything more since I’ll smack you if you ask the spirits again. AHAHAHAHH! You know, you almost had me there.”

“P-”

“Hm? What was that?”

“Piss off.”

Trif laughed.

“What are you going to do? The spell is already finished, you can’t do anythin-”

The rock formation was slowly approaching Trif and has now gotten under him. It has increased in speed and hit his chin. It caused him to fall and let go of Phize.

“Who said that the spell was finished?”

Phize fell to the ground.

“T-That’s all I can do…”

Trif stood back up with a bleeding nose.

“IT TAKES MORE THAN THAT TO MAKE ME FALL!” he barked.

Phize was filled with fear from his sudden rise, he crawled away from him.

“WHERE ARE YOU GOING?”

Yal ran toward Phize.

He cast a spell, “REJECT!”

Phize was launched out of the ring.

The man broadcasted, “PHIZE GRATHAM DRESTIL HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! TEAM A HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! TEAM B WINS!”
